Meghan Randolph (Producer/Director) Meghan's career as a performer, director, and arts/nonprofit manager includes work on the national tour of CATS, as well as MTM, Skylight Music Theatre, Madison Opera, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Theatre LILA, TAPIT/New Works, Children's Theater of Madison, Forward Theater, Four Seasons Theatre, Waukesha Civic Theatre, Middleton Players Theatre, Center Stage Performing Arts, Madison Trust for Historic Preservation, SAIL Madison, Monroe Theatre Guild, Strollers Theatre, Madison Rep, and more. She is also the founder and artistic director of the Voices Theatre, where she produced and directed The Exonerated as a benefit for the Wisconsin Innocence Project, and will produce The Pussy Grabber Plays in 2020 as a benefit for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin. Meghan trained at Interlochen Center for the Arts (Camp and Academy) and earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan and an MS in Arts Management from Drexel University. She founded MTM in 2005 and has grown the company to being one of the few in the United States focusing specifically on lesser-known musical theatre. She has also published and spoken about her arts marketing research internationally and is a vocal and acting coach in Madison. Mark Wurzelbacher (Music Director/Moritz Godovsky) is a Madison-based music director, pianist, teacher, arranger, and composer. Hephaestus will mark his sixth time working with MTM as music director, having previously music directed Hephaestus, Little Miss Sunshine, The Puppet, Arlington, A New Brain, and Nightmare Alley. He has worked with numerous Madison-area organizations as a pianist and music director, including Forward Theater, Children's Theater of Madison, Capital City Theatre, UW-Madison University Theater, Madison Savoyards, and Fresco Opera. Before moving to Madison, Mark was the Resident Music Director for Windy City Music Theatre, a Chicago performing and educational company producing shows for youth and all-ages casts. Mark holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Organ Performance and Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s Degree in Music Theory from UW-Madison. In addition to musical theatre projects, Mark maintains a large piano teaching studio. He is the composer and lyricist for The Puppet, a satirical operetta about a presidential election, which enjoyed a reading with MTM in the fall of 2017. markwurzelbacher.com
Brian Cowing (Choreographer) is thrilled to be working on this gorgeous play. Madison credits include: Capital City Theatre’s Hunchback of Notre Dame, Four Seasons Theatre’s Spamalot, Les Misérables, She Loves Me, and South Pacific. With Children’s Theater of Madison, he directed and choreographed Matilda, Tuck Everlasting, Seussical, and The Wizard of Oz. You can also see Brian's work this winter at Skylight Music Theatre, where he's directing and choreographing 25th...Spelling Bee. Brian has also served as guest director and choreographer at Clinton Showboat Theatre, Binghamton University, and Oklahoma City University. As an actor, National Tours: Annie (Mr. Bundles/Dance Captain), Something Rotten (Ensemble, u/s Nostradamus, Brother Jeremiah). Proud graduate of Oklahoma City University.
